Mark Kellam died Sept. 27, 2022, at age 61. 

Born on March 30, 1961, in New Castle, Indiana, Kellam attended IU and graduated in 1984 with a degree in journalism.

He worked as an editor and reporter for several newspapers in California, including the Chino Champion Newspaper, the LA Daily News and the Los Angeles Times Community Newspaper.

He was also known for his playwriting, having plays produced in New York, Dayton and Indianapolis.
