Sarah Broadwater died March 19, 2022, at age 65. 

Broadwater was a communications consultant, writer and journalist. She served as press secretary for several members of Congress before establishing a communications practice focusing on strategic planning and writing for nonprofits, trade associations and political campaigns.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, she later earned a master’s in journalism with a minor in business from IU.
