Gene Monteith retired as vice president of editorial services at Paul Werth Associates at the end of 2021, after serving the Columbus, Ohio,-based public relations firm for 10 years. Monteith began his career at the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger, later moving to the Journal-Gazette in Fort Wayne. He subsequently served in media relations and executive speechwriter roles at Lincoln National Corporation, was the editor of two online publications and worked for 10 years at the Cochran Group public relations firm in Columbus before joining Werth.
