Willaim J. "Bill" Benner will be inducted into the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame in April 2024. For more than three decades, he was a sports reporter, writer, and columnist at the Indianapolis star. He wrote sports columns for the Indianapolis Business Journal for another decade. He has covered local and global sports, from high school and local professional teams to Olympics and PanAm games. (January 2024)
