Ed Spray has been retired from his role as president of Scripps Network since 2005. He started his professional career as a film editor and cameramen at WISH-TV in Indianapolis and went on to work at WMAQ-TV and WBBM-TV in Chicago. In 1986, Spray moved to Los Angeles where he would soon work as vice president of programming and development for all CBS-owned stations. In 1994, he helped co-found HGTV. He is the recipient of multiple Emmys and, in 2019, was inducted into the Indiana Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. (July 2019)
