Robert "Bob" Jones died May 26, 2024 at the age of 89.

After graduating with a journalism degree from Indiana University Bloomington, Jones held marketing and public relations positions for WOWO and WGL radio stations, the Job Corps in Bloomington, Magnavox Corporation in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne Bible College, and finally Lincoln National Corporation in Fort Wayne. 

Jones was an avid fan of golf and watching IU sports. After retirement he was a marketing consultant for the Lincoln Museum until it closed. He also dedicated time to community service organizations such as the Central Lions Club, Three Rivers Literacy Alliance, IU Alumni Association, Bible study Fellowship, Matthew 25, Meals on Wheels, and Radio Reading Service for the blind.
