Wounded Galaxies to present panel: “Cinétracts and the Limits of Reality”

Wounded Galaxies 1968: Beneath the Paving Stones, the Beach Festival and Symposium is a festival of experimental media and academic symposium that will take place Feb. 5-11 on IU’s campus.

Wounded Galaxies will present a panel, “Cinétracts and the Limits of Reality,” at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 9 in the School of Global and International Studies Building auditorium. Panelists include:

  • Nathan Carroll (The College of St. Scholastica): “Cinétracts”
  • Jennifer Stob (Texas State University): “Reality, In-Camera: Film, Détournement and the Cinétracts”
  • Jonathan Nichols-Pethick (DePauw University): “A Theory of Ambivalence: Fredrick Wiseman’s Law and Orde and the Limits of Cinéma Vérité”
  • I-Lin Liu (Boston University): “Robert Kramer’s American Films, 1965-1975”
