  • Biography

    Ronda L. Sewald holds a PhD in Folklore and Ethnomusicology and a Masters of Library Science from Indiana University, Bloomington, where she is currently an archivist for the BFC/A. Her research addresses soundscape disputes over the regulation of performances by the Salvation Army, street musicians, and amateur musicians, as well as the regulation of the use of loudspeaker technology by advertisers and radio enthusiasts. She also studies the use of archival materials and metadata systems by researchers. Her work has appeared in American Quarterly and Anthropology News.
