In 2018, Logan Kaletha was a key part of the Hoosier baseball team. His ability to be productive at the plate, in the field, and on the basepaths made him one of the most dynamic players in the Big Ten. During the fall season he showed once again what makes him such a dangerous player, despite the fact that he was dealing with a leg injury.

“Before this weekend he hadn’t seen live pitching in like a month and a half,” Team Cross captain Wyatt Cross said.

In the finale of Indiana’s Fall World Series Kaletha went 1-1 at the plate with four walks for Team Cross. That’s just a typical day at the office for the Indiana leadoff man.

“That just says a lot about the type of player he is,” Cross said, “He’s just a gamer, can go out, doesn’t matter how long he’s been out for, just goes in and gives his best.”

Now Hoosier fans are hoping that the center fielder can stay healthy heading into his senior year. Once again it appears that he’ll slot in as Indiana’s leadoff man, and with a heightened emphasis on defense and baserunning under new head coach Jeff Mercer he should be more important than ever.
