WTIU to broadcast Osgood documentary

WTIU will broadcast a documentary on the Vietnam War created by emeritus professor Ron Osgood, who experienced the war firsthand.

Osgood, a media producer/director and a Vietnam War veteran, created the documentary with the support of an IU Bloomington Collaborative Research and Creative Activity Funding Award. The film, Just Like Me: Stories from All Sides, focuses on the stories of those affected by the Vietnam War, including Vietnamese veterans and civilians. The project features an interactive website where visitors can search for interviews by categories like location and year.

WTIU will broadcast the film on the following dates:

Sept. 14: 8:30 p.m.
Sept. 15:  1 p.m.
Sept. 17:  7 p.m.

WTIU will also rebroadcast another Osgood documentary, My Vietnam Your Iraq (2011), at these times:

Sept. 14: 9:30 p.m.
Sept. 16: 6 p.m.

WTIU is hosting a preview screening of the film from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Bloomington City Hall Council Chambers. It is free and open to the public.
