Washington Post reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner David Finkel will speak Monday, April 9, in Presidents Hall.
Finkel will visit campus to talk with students in professor of practice Tom French’s class, MSCH-C204: Behind the Prize. French, a Pulitzer winner himself, brings guest speakers from around the world to discuss their works that earned them top prizes in journalism, including the Pulitzer.
The weekly lectures are typically only for students enrolled in the course, but the April 9 class session will be open to the public.
Finkel will discuss his 2013 book about Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans, Thank You for Your Service, which was also made into a feature film in 2017.
The doors will open to the public at 6 p.m. for the free lecture.
