Visiting fellow to discuss Caribbean artists
Explore and discuss Caribbean artists with visiting fellow Jane Bryce.
Bryce, professor emeritus of African literature and cinema at The University of the West Indies at Cave Hill Barbados and visiting fellow of IU’s Institute for Advanced Study, will show and discuss Isaac Julien’s short art film, Encore: Paradise Omeros Redux. Her talk is titled, “Queering Omeros: Isaac Julien’s Encore: Paradise Omeros Redux.”
The talk will take place at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in the Institute for Advanced Study Seminar Room, 624 E. Third St.
Bryce’s visit is co-sponsored by the Black Film Center/Archive and Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
