Roy W. Howard Symposium accepting papers

To celebrate the digitization of the Roy W. Howard Archive, the Media School will host a symposium on campus Oct. 25-26, 2018. The symposium is now accepting paper submissions through June 1.

Projects may focus on the history of journalism during Howard’s career, which spanned through the first half of the 20th century.

The Roy W. Howard Papers, 1892-1960, is an archival collection of The Media School including more than 14,000 pieces of correspondence as well as thousands of photographs, audiovisual materials and more. Howard ran the United Press and Scripps-Howard newspapers.
