A series of short films curated by Bradford Nordeen was screened on Monday at the IU Cinema. The films and corresponding talks are a part of the Queer Disorientations series taking place this week, which looks at questions of gender and sexuality in new and challenging ways.

Nordeen also gave a talk entitled “Curating Dirty Looks and Presenting the Queer Cinematic Avant-Garde” on Tuesday afternoon in the Franklin Hall commons, during which he discussed his decade of work in curation and publishing.

Today at 7 p.m, the IU Moving Image Archive will host the “Home Movies” short program.

Queer Disorientations is co-sponsored by  The Media School, Cinema and Media Studies, the Center for Documentary Research and Practice and the IU Cinema. Media School professor Ryan Powell helped organize the series.
