“Perceived News Media Importance: Developing and validating a measure for personal valuations of normative news media functions” looks at the development and validation of a multidimensional scale for perceived news media importance. The scale is comprised of six different dimensions that represents the weight of what citizens deem desirable of news work.

Peifer’s research interests include political entertainment, news media perceptions and satire.
