This summer, Media School field experience courses will take students to Ecuador and the Czech Republic.
To give students an overview of the courses, travel arrangements and costs, The Media School will host an informational meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 14 in Franklin Hall 114. The meeting will cover the application process and deadlines, as well as financial requirements.
The courses being offered in in summer 2019 are:
- Short Film Production in Prague, a four-week intensive course with instruction from faculty at Prague’s national film school, the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts, and The Media School’s senior lecturer Susan Kelly. The class is taught entirely in the Czech Republic.
- Documenting our Changing World, which explores the impact of environmental changes and their effects on Ecuador’s civilization, culture and quality of life through the creation of photo essays, mini-documentaries, short films and a TV show. The class travels to Quito, Cotopaxi, Maquipucuna and Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, for two weeks.
To enroll in the courses, students must first apply to be admitted. The info session will cover application instructions.
