Journalist, filmmaker Elizabeth Flock to speak about marriage in Mumbai

Journalist, author and filmmaker Elizabeth Flock will give a talk at 5 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Indiana Memorial Union University Club President’s Room. 

The talk, “Reality vs. Illusion: Examining Marriage in Contemporary Mumbai,” is co-sponsored by The Media School. 

Flock is the author of the book The Heart is a Shifting Sea: Love and Marriage in Mumbai

She recently led an investigation for PBS NewsHour into sexual harassment and retaliation within the U.S. Forest Service. The story was featured on John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight during a segment on sexual harassment in the workplace.  

Flock’s work has also appeared in the Washington Post, U.S. News and World Report, New York Magazine, Al Jazeera America and Forbes India magazine, among others.
