Cahill to lecture on French cinema

James Cahill,  associate professor of cinema studies and French at the University of Toronto, will lecture at 4 p.m. Friday in Franklin Hall 312 on “La Caméra Voyageuse: Le Monde du Silence and the Cinema of Exploration.”

Cahill will discuss the re-emergence of a cinema of exploration in France in the late 1940s and 1950s.

The lecture is sponsored by the Center for Documentary Research and Practice at The Media School and the Department of the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine.
