Academy Award winner, alumnus to screen “Ghost”

Filmmaker Bruce Joel Rubin, MS’80, who won an Academy Award in 1991 for his original screenplay Ghost starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, will return to campus for the first time in decades.

Rubin will screen Ghost, followed by a Q&A session, at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at the IU Cinema. The event is free, but ticketed.

His visit is part of the IU Cinema’s Jorgensen Guest Filmmaker Series. Earlier in the day, he will give a lecture as part of The Media School’s Speaker Series.
