Volta Glass – Bloomington’s Hidden Gem

On 405 West 6th Street,  the sounds of roaring flames, buzzing machinery, and glass breaking blare through Volta Glass Studio. The small shop might be hard to spot by the naked eye, but within lies a site to see. Enjoy a behind the scenes look at one of Bloomington’s coolest shops through my point of view.

LGBTQ+ Culture Center

The LGBTQ+ Culture Center, located on Indiana University’s campus, has been an excellent resource for the LGBTQ+ community for decades. Free condoms and HIV testings, books and magazines to check out, and staff that are welcoming are available in the center. People of all backgrounds and sexualities work in the culture center who will offer help to students when needed. The rise of President Donald Trump and the alt-right has caused concern for some in the community, but staff at the LGBTQ+ center still remain hopeful for change.
