Summer 2016 Staff
Chabane Maidi founded IU’s Game Development Camp in 2013. Along with directing the camps, he is responsible for managing the technology in the Game Design facility for The Media School. He also teaches the Intro to Game Programming course.
Juliet Roberts is the assistant coordinator for The Media School’s Game Development Camp and the primary organizer for Girlpowered! the camp exclusively for girls. She graduated from IU in December with a double major in linguistics and English. In her free time, she likes to cook, play strategy/city building games, watch sci-fi movies and volunteer activities with organizations such as Girl Scouts and area food pantries.
Ian Sundstrom is a Bloomington-based independent game developer. He has also taught in the Game Design program at IU.
Melanie Goldstone is a student of the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities and veteran of the Game Development Camp planning for a career in Computer Science. Her interests include Game Design, Software Engineering, and virtual machines. Her favorite games are probably Professor Layton (any in the series), any Legend of Zelda series game, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Other honorable mentions include Rune Factory 3, Earthbound, and Ōkamiden.
Joseph Adams just finished his third year at IU, studying Cognitive Science and Game Design. Within the next few years, he hopes to be working as a game designer for a small indie game studio creating interesting and inventive games. His favorite games are Bastion, The Beginner’s Guide, Flywrench, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Aeson Akhras is entering Purdue University in the fall to study Engineering, after which he wants to enter the game industry. Some of his favorite games are the Witcher 3, Fallout 3, Forza Motorsport 6, Uncharted 2, E.T., and Assassin’s Creed 2.
Laura Wise is majoring in English, looking to a career goal of being a story writer for games. Some of her favorite games are Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, BioShock, and The Last of Us.
Bryant Warren is majoring in Game Design and minoring in Japanese. He hopes to one day move to Japan to get a job at a game studio doing either localization or art. His favorite games are BioShock, Metro: Last Light, Undertale, Super Smash Bros., and Fallout 4.
Jay Humphrey is a Game Design major at Indiana University, focusing on game art. His favorite games are Pokemon X, Darkest Dungeon, Yoshi’s Island, Portal 2, and Magicka.
Kerry Norris is a student in his third year at IU, majoring in Game Design and studying Computer Science. In the future he plans to work within the industry primarily as a game designer to create exciting and unique interactive systems. A few of his favorite games include BloodBorne, Bayonetta 2, and Kingdom Hearts.
Blake Rebeck is a Game Design and Political Science major at Indiana University. In the future he looks to work within the game industry with a focus on design. His favorite games include The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Demon’s Souls, and Odin Sphere.
